Clinic Policies for Patients Attending Appointments
Prior to Your Appointment
As you are aware, Public Health directives have removed mask and screening mandates for all settings with the exception of Long Term Care as well as retirement homes. However, as with most other community health care settings, we will be asking patients to continue wearing masks into the clinic. This decision aligns with the practice of many other health care settings in our community. Covid 19 as well as a late season rise in the flu is still circulating in our community.
This is an added layer of protection for our patients, some of whom are elderly or have compromised immune systems, as well as our team members. We will continue to receive guidance from infections disease specialists and will revise our policies accordingly.
How we are keeping you safe
- All cleaning / disinfecting products are Health Canada approved
- While Public Health no longer mandates active and passive screening , we are asking all therapists, staff and patients to self-screen for any flu / cold symptoms and ask patients to reschedule their appointments. must be screened prior to coming to the clinic.
- Reduced waiting room chairs to allow for adequate physical distancing
- Sneeze guards will remain installed on our reception desks
- Eveyone entering the clinic is encouraged to sanitize their hands prior to entering treatment rooms.
- All our staff members perform a daily self-health check and only report for work if they are 100% symptom-free.
