Shaun Harris
Shaun is a life long Burlingtonian and played a number of sports representing both his school and the City of Burlington. It was during these sporting seasons that he became interested in the manual therapy field. Football is a rough sport and, as a result, Shaun endured various injuries which lead to many hours spent in the trainer’s room. He found the therapist’s knowledge of the body, their vocabulary and skill set very intriguing.
Now in his 3rd decade of practice he reflects back on his journey. Shaun graduated with Honours from Canadian Therapeutic College as a Massage Therapist in 1999. Upon completion of the licencing process he joined Dr. Higgins’ Chiropractic Clinic. Thankfully, he learned early on that if he wanted to prolong his career he needed to add additional skills.
In 2004 Shaun began his Osteopathic journey and graduated with Honours from The Canadian College of Osteopathy in 2009. In October of 2014 he successfully defended his thesis and obtained his Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (D.O.M.P.) and a Diploma in Science of Osteopathy (D.Sc.O).
Shaun is a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO), the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
